The Summit Historic District is a residential historic district in northeastern Providence, Rhode Island. It's located at the northern end of Providence's East Side. The area north of Rochambeau was one of Providence's "Street Car suburbs".

The Summit neighborhood is near Brown University. Some say that Downtown Providence, Fox Point, Elmhurst, Blackstone, Federal Hill, and Mount Hope are some of the nicest neighborhoods in Providence.
